Chamber Music Marin presents The Poulenc Trio with Shawnette Sulker as part of their 2025-2026 Chamber Music Concert Series. Celebrating their 53rd year, Chamber Music Marin will present a diverse repertoire this season featuring several award-winning ensembles that are first time Chamber Music Marin performers. The season consists of five intimate concerts, all reflecting the nonprofit’s mission of presenting world-class musicians at affordable prices. 

The Poulenc Trio is the most active touring piano-wind ensemble in the world. They will present a rich program including works by Francis Poulenc, Viet Cuong (2019, commissioned for the Trio), Jean Françaix and arrangements of Duke Ellington classics. They will be joined by Guyanese-American soprano Shawnette Sulker for a series of songs by Poulenc, for whom melody was the most important musical element.
