About

The Ralston White Retreat is a historic 43-acre estate and event venue on Mount Tamalpais in Mill Valley, California. Designed by Willis Polk, the property was constructed between 1913 and 1916, and was originally named the Garden of Allah. The non-profit Ralston White Retreat Foundation manages the site, utilizing rental fees for its preservation and maintenance. It hosts retreats and events primarily for nonprofit organizations including community, cultural, spiritual, educational, medical, music, and artistic organizations, in addition to weddings and reunions. The Retreat is a unique local treasure, offering a secluded, natural setting with accommodation.
