Home Wildfire Defender was founded by James Young in the wake of the catastrophic Los Angeles fires this last January, 2025 where over 16,000 homes were lost and the city burned for over a month, leaving thousands of residents, many of them under insured, homeless. Haley practices estate planning and business law.  She earned her Juris Doctor from Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon.  She is licensed in both California and Nevada. 

Haley has over ten years’ experience as an Estate Planning and Business Law Attorney.  In addition, having a background as a Wealth Planner and a Trust Administration Officer for banking institutions, Haley deeply understands the field of estate planning and wealth management inside and out.  She has substantial education and training in the areas of mediation, business succession planning and working with blended families.  She enjoys helping families and small businesses.  

Haley has two children, one at Old Mill School.  She is very involved with the community through the Mill Valley Rotary Club and Old Mill School.  She loves nature and enjoys all the beauty of Marin with her family.
